Military Investigations

Your defense begins before charges are filed.  We advise servicemembers facing NCIS, Army CID, Air Force OSI, CGIS, Inspector General (IG), and command investigations.  From interview requests and Article 31(b) rights to consent searches and evidence review, our team helps you understand your options, protect your rights, and respond strategically.  Get legal advice before making a statement or consenting to a search.

General & Special
Court-Martial Defense

Facing court-martial charges can put your freedom, your career, and your future at risk.  We defend servicemembers accused of UCMJ offenses, including sexual assault, domestic violence, and drug crimes.  From Article 32 preliminary hearings through trial and sentencing, our team investigates allegations, challenges the Government’s evidence, and develops a defense focused on your goals.

Administrative Separation (ADSEP) Boards &
Boards of Inquiry (BOI)

An administrative separation board or Board of Inquiry can threaten years of service, retirement eligibility, and future benefits.  We represent enlisted servicemembers and officers facing ADSEP and BOI proceedings.  By challenging the allegations and presenting evidence of your performance, character, and circumstances, our team advocates for continued service or the most favorable available separation outcome.

Boards for Correction
of Military Records (BCMR/BCNR) Applications

An error or injustice in your military record can affect promotions, pay, retirement, and opportunities after service. We prepare applications to the Boards for Correction of Military/Naval Records (BCMR/BCNR). From adverse evaluations and disciplinary entries to reenlistment codes and retirement records, our team builds a clear request for relief supported by legal argument and persuasive evidence.

Discharge Review Board (DRB/NDRB) Applications

Your discharge should reflect the full story of your service. We help eligible veterans pursue military discharge upgrades and changes to their reenlistment (RE) code and narrative reason for separation through the Discharge Review Boards (DRB). Our team examines procedural errors, unfair treatment, mitigating circumstances, and post-service rehab-ilitation to build a compelling application, with representation at personal appearance hearings when appropriate.

Security Clearance
Denial & Revocation Rebuttals

When your security clearance is threatened, your livelihood may be on the line. We help service members, federal employees, and contractors respond to clearance concerns and challenge denials and revocations. From Statement of Reasons (SOR) responses through applicable hearings and appeals, our team develops mitigating evidence and presents the full picture of your judgment, reliability, and trustworthiness.

Retirement Grade Determinations

Your retired grade can affect decades of retirement income and how your military career is recognized.  We represent officers facing retirement grade determinations when adverse information threatens retirement in their highest grade.  Our team scrutinizes the allegations, documents your performance and accomplishments, and prepares legal arguments and supporting evidence advocating for the highest retired grade supported by your service.

GOMORs, Reprimands & Adverse Administrative
Action Rebuttals

A reprimand or adverse evaluation can derail your career before separation is ever proposed.  We help servicemembers respond to General Officer Memoranda of Reprimand (GOMORs), letters of reprimand (LORs), adverse evaluations, and other unfavorable administrative actions. Our team challenges inaccurate allegations, identifies procedural errors, and prepares rebuttals and appeals aimed at protecting your military record, promotion opportunities, and service.

Article 15, UCMJ, Nonjudicial Punishment

Nonjudicial punishment (NJP) can cost you rank, pay, and future opportunities.  We advise servicemembers facing Article 15 proceedings (also known as Captain’s Mast or Office Hours). Our team examines the allegations, explains your options, and prepares defense statements, supporting evidence, and mitigation matters. If the punishment has already been imposed, our team evaluates grounds for appeal and helps you pursue appropriate relief.

Military Medical Malpractice Claims

Medical negligence can change your health, career, and family’s future. We help service members, veterans, and military families evaluate claims involving misdiagnosis, delayed treatment, surgical mistakes, and other medical errors. Our team reviews medical records, works with medical experts, identifies the appropriate claims process, and pursues compensation for injuries or wrongful death caused by negligent care.

Court-Martial Appeals

Your defense can continue after the verdict. We represent service members and veterans challenging court-martial convictions and sentences. Our team scrutinizes the trial record for legal errors, ineffective assistance of counsel, evidentiary issues, and sentencing errors, then develops focused appellate arguments to pursue available relief before the military appellate courts. Your freedom, rights, and future remain worth fighting for.

Federal Firearms Rights Restoration (FFRR)

Federal firearm restrictions can continue long after your sentence or military service ends.  We help veterans and civilians evaluate their options under the Department of Justice’s Federal Firearm Rights Restoration (FFRR) process under 18 U.S.C. 925(c). Our team prepares applications supported by court records, character references, and evidence of rehabilitation while helping you understand any separate state firearm restrictions that federal relief does not automatically resolve.

VA Disability Appeals & Character-of-Discharge Reviews

A denied claim, low disability rating, or discharge-related eligibility issue can threaten your financial security and access to benefits. We help veterans challenge denied service connection, inadequate ratings, and incorrect effective dates through Supplemental Claims, Higher-Level Reviews, and appeals to the Board of Veterans’ Appeals. Our team also pursues VA character-of-discharge reviews that may establish benefits eligibility without changing your military discharge, building each case around your records, medical evidence, and individual circumstances.

FOIA & Privacy Act Records Requests

Government records can hold the evidence needed to protect your career, challenge an injustice, or support a benefits claim. We help service members and veterans seek investigative reports, personnel files, medical records, and other federal records through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act. Our team prepares targeted requests, reviews agency responses, and pursues administrative appeals challenging improper denials, redactions, or inadequate searches.
